Our general attitude to food can easily be summarised as “slow food”. Excellent ingredients, ethically sourced with extra care and attention, and a commitment to the local community and the environment. This is the antithesis of “fast food”- and we try to find suppliers that share this same ethos. We are proud members and sponsors of the “Slow Food” society in the UK.

Below you can find a list of some of the suppliers we are proud to work alongside and support.

The Slow Food Movement

The Slow Food movement cares about the landscapes, environments, ecosystems and producers of the UK and aims to educate and campaign on behalf of them to the best of their abilities. They recognise we have some of the best foods, ingredients and heritage breeds in the whole world. Their website is well worth dedicating some time towards, we would strongly advocate becoming a member.

The Snobby Butcher / JT Beedham & Sons

Johnny and the guys in his butcher shop JT Beehams make some of the UK’s best cured and smoked products. They’re butchery skills are second to none, and they showed endless patience when our chef/owner Ollie went to work there as a young man over a decade and a half ago. Johnny proudly claims the main reason his pork tastes quite so good is because he feeds his pigs on smokey bacon crisps.
